Arizona Chickens

I also think that if we did manage to set up where some of us who were able to or wanted to come, it would most probably have to be a centralized place that one of us had, and be arranged in cooler weather. Also I would suggest doing a pot luck when it was done, and everyone who will come to it will bring a dish. Maybe we could also have any chicks or chickens that we have available in cages where we could sell or trade with each other.

Edit: I might also be able to borrow a port-a-potty from a friend for it, so we can use it for potty breaks.

Yes I can see how distance is an issue. It would be fun if we could though! I think I'm going to enjoy being part of this group, it's all so informative and interesting!!

Yes it is, and we chat about different thing's here. I think that we have some good people here! Stick around, and let us get to know you also!

Another neighbors dogs got out again this morning torturing my babies mama hen went into her nest area to huddle with her chick and everyone flapping and screaming I had to walk them over and push them (carefully) under her sorry excuse for a fence. When my chickens get trauma like that i give them a yummy treat so they quickly forget today I brought them raisins and then everything was right with their world again.
NOW they were just puppies running around thinking life is a game but my bubus didn't think that and even though they were safe they don't understand that either plus it didn't help that my dog osa was barking and wanting to tear up the dogs for intruding lol a lot of racket for a once peaceful 6 am morning

If you had to push them under the fence then the hole is still there. They will be back.

Do they even know the hole is there? Maybe you can block it from the outside and they won't even notice. Maybe you should remind them that your chickens are livestock and legally you can catch up their dogs and do whatever you want with them for going after them on your own property. Birds can be "stressed to death". It happens all the time.

I know :hit I told them last week that it disturbs them , this is the same one who gave me her sick chick. It's exasperating and she outright said she wouldn't tie them up to me I think that's mean to tie them up too, but you can secure them properly in a fence it doesn't take much to bury the fence a bit my dog never gets out.... sigh

@meetthebubus Still make the complaint. Animal Control may be closed but their folks are still out all weekend long. If they know there is a problem, then they can make themselves visible and maybe, just maybe, your neighbor will figure it out. We recently live trapped - within the last two weeks - a pit/boxer mix young too and took it to the animal control around here. I checked first with neighbors who live around here and they all said he was a stray. He didn't bother my chickens, he was just hungry and at the feral cats' food, tore up garbage - stuff like that. I always want to kick butt on those who kick their dogs or cats out because they are bored or whatever with them. Makes me crazy!
