Arizona Chickens

We turned ours on but very low - like 70 but hubby complained he was a bit cold last night and we bumped it to 72. We used to play the game of no heat until Thanksgiving but the last few years we have lost and usually turned it very low about the 2nd or 3rd week. Still love the low electric bills!

I keep the thermostat between 68* and 70* at night and then turn it off once the sun rises, using those glorious rays to heat the house in the daytime. Our bedroom stays chillier than the rest of the house this time of year so I'll wear a sweatshirt to bed if the room's still too cool. I actually sleep better in a cooler room, but I hate when my elbows get cold. Weird... I know...but it's a thing for me.

I don't remember if I shared this article link I wrote earlier this year, the only thing is I was required to use the word pathetic in the title, otherwise here you go if you would like to see it lol

I love how you encourage people about roosters in this article. It's so true that you might get a bad seed but they aren't all that way.

Have you done an article on BYC like this yet? You should!

Good afternoon AZ :frow. The wind has picked up some here and it's chilly outside. I put our winter blanket on the bed today and gave the kids each an extra blanket. I tried leaving the front door open while I baked cookies but the heater came on. I love it! I think it's time to bake some bread. Maybe this weekend.

The chickens were at the backdoor complaining they're hungry. When I threw out pellets they looked at me in disgust :gig Except the little dude, he's eating.

What's everyone been up to?:caf

Yes, it's been windy here too! How's the little dude doing now?

The last 2 night's I have been staying out of hubby's way while he goes through his camping and hunting stuff to get it ready for his deer hunting trip. We are going shopping after a bit so that I can get what I want to eat while he's gone.
