@starri33 Good luck with your hatch!

@igorsMistress I wonder what colors of chick's will come out of that match?

New's of my own now about the 2 dozen B/B/S NN hatching egg's that I ordered. I just got a message from her this morning:
Got the money order.
I'll start collecting eggs up and have them shipped out on Monday.

Stop it you enabler you! I am not hatching eggs I am not hatching eggs I am not hatching eggs!

Congrats on your eggs!

That's a great idea.. most there that sell eggs have their own flocks, but I can look at putting up a sign.. I'm figuring two weeks at the most for them to find new homes, my hens can't take anymore and I can't afford to keep feeding them..lol. Have a person here that is creating a house made from sand (feed) bags, I just took them a feed bag over stuffed with feed bags, plus one I could not get stuffed in there, I think with as much as these little piggies eat, they ought to be as big as cows..lol
not sure if you still have extra roosters, but I am looking for one to be with my flock of layers/buggers. reasonably nonaggressive, fairly large in size. I have 13 hens of various sizes and breeds, they'd like a protector.

@igorsMistress , it was you ladies here that got me addicted..lol, so you are hatching eggs, you are hatching eggs..lol.
:gig Noooooo!

I really can't right now unfortunately. I have a bunch of birds for the freezer I need to deal with before any new babies come in, then summer will be here. I think it's best to wait until Fall.

However, I did get out an egg carton so I can save eggs in the upright position just in case. So I could change my mind.

Now you sound like me, I wasn't going to hatch again for a while, at about 53 all totaled, I kept telling myself I didn't need more, but then I saw where one of my black NN's were laying down in the corner of the coop rather than using the nestbox and I know that Charlie who I got from @BlueBaby was daddy, along with having had 2 with interesting colors from other hatches, I got a carton, marked it with "hatching eggs" and well, there you go. I've got one roo that looks like someone threw paint at him, blue, yellow, some black, he hatched from a NN egg but is full feather, then I've got a pullet, that is clean necked and has the most interesting coloring, it's a gray and you can see where the quill (?) is that keeps the feather in place..

Wow that's interesting. Is that so all over or just around the neck? Are you getting the colors from Charley and his girls? My roo is Charleys son so I'm curious if the white is dominant or not.
