I have read that the corn cob bedding can have Aspergillus mold spores in it. Bad for birds. If you have a parrot read "Alex" by Irene Pepperburg. Her African Grey died of Aspergillus from corn cob bedding, sad ending to a good book. I use newspaper for my indoor birds. Baby chicks get a paper towel at first. So I am using pine bedding with the chicks.. but its messy, which is why I stopped using it w my parrot. With her, I use corn cob pellets.. the packaging lists a bunch of birds it's safe for, as well as small animals. Have any of you tried that, or know of a reason I shouldn't use it?
