Arizona Chickens

@Parront They grow fast and within a couple of week's, they will start trying to fly out of your box.
They already tried to make a break out. The sides are high, but I have it taped where it wraps around and they were trying to get out that crack. When they are bigger I will add another section of cardboard. In a couple of weeks they will be ready for their coop, it is so hot.

I have a fan that comes on @ 78*, it gets warm in there in the daytime.

True. If I ever decide to get hatching egg's again from a source that isn't from my own flock, they will be local egg's. That way it will be helping someone who live's local here in our own state.
I think I will probably have chicks sent express 1-day next time with Bob's chicks at least. I do not think Ideal offers it. I know that they were sitting for a day from the tracking. Those white rocks are the biggest & the greediest chicks in the box! The hatchery sent an extra, and one died, so I got all 26 that I ordered. The dark layer mix was 3 welsumers & 3 marans.

I called them, got them @ 8:00 but they open @ 9. They were fine with me taking them sooner, they were loud!
I'm glad that you were able to get in quickly and get them, I lost a couple when the post office failed to call TSC and who ever was suppose to take the shipment of chicks dropped the ball and didn't call either, the poor chicks sat in the post office almost all day. if there is a area on your order form for special directions, I'd have them put in bold letters to call you on arrival.

That was on the Packing List!

HELP!!! I have an injured turkey. He was mauled by dogs 9 Jun 2020 . He has lost flight feathers on the right wing, and the left wing is torn, & left body side is down to skin & in a couple of places below skin. I've slavered Corona on all the wounds, then sprayed him with a fly repellent all over him. As of yesterday, 11 Jun, he is eating, drinking, & pooping. I've tried to bind up the wounds, so he won't use the left wing that is torn, but he won't hold still, & the bandage slides elsewhere. Help! As far as I know there are NO Vets in this area who will see fowl. What antibody can I give him? Any household ideas to help him heal? He is isolated & quiet. How can I tell if he has a fever? how do you take a turkey's temperature? I want to do everything in my power to help him make it through this. Again, HELP!
If you have a feed store get Vetrycyn. It’s a spray that works great. Poor guy.

Wings are flappin'! Especially the brown leghorns.:lau They have been here 3 days, I can see the difference in size, rocks are biggest already.

As they should be the biggest. I need to find out what sex this naked neck chick with the 5 toes on each foot is, so that I will know what sex of the Silver Grey Dorking that I will need to look for to breed it back to. I'm hoping to be able to release my 3rd broody from jail today, if she has broken yet.
