Arizona Chickens

I don't think so, as I only used eggs from 3 hen's that go around. The 3 hen's were a Double Laced Barnevelder, an Easter Egger, and a Silver Gray Dorking/Red Ranger mix.
Maybe the silver grey x dorking mix has some barring to pass to her boys? Sometimes you can not see the barring very well like some white rocks have barring hidden under the white, I have heard.

If he is a male I hope I can keep him long enough to have some eggs from him with the white you gave me and my 2 rocks. Otherwise, I would be happy to deliver him to someone who might like to keep him with some hens. Compost King used Red Rangers and Dorkings, messed that up. The rangers have some photos on their site with barred birds.

The mixed girl here is pretty nice, but not as tall as my NN's and her egg's aren't as big. Maybe her daughters will lay bigger egg's, though. I named her Five, because she did get the 5 toes on one of her feet. The chick from her that I hatched from her that I'm keeping has the 5 toes on both feet.

If she is a good egg layer, she might be the first in a line of Arizona Rangers! Good sized, fast growing & laying pretty eggs. And living through the AZ heat, don't forget. Sadly, a lot of great birds just can't take the heat here. Are 5 toes a requirement, Oh, Great Breed Founder?

Yes, I know. Many of the breed's do better way up north. The bigger fluffier one's are pretty, but have too many feathers on them to be able to handle our heat well down here. I'm not exactly sure if the chick with those 5 toes is a male or female, but I am leaning more toward's it being a pullet. I was sort of hoping that it would be a boy, so I could breed it back to the mother.

Sounds like the only answer is to hatch more of her eggs!:caf
