I pickled a batch of the little Barred Holland eggs, 8 fit in a pint, 12 in a quart. The egg in the center front is a Safeway egg, Barred Holland on each side, and in the pint jar. I use a bread and butter pickle recipe, it uses some sugar and vinegar, I have kept them on the counter a month just fine. I put them in the frig for the people who will be getting them. Sometimes I just put boiled eggs in the hot mix juice after the pickled hot veggies are gone, I like them spicy but nobody else does.
