Arizona Chickens

'Cause I want to see a "House Duck"! :lau :sick They are not quiet like a muscovy, except the males are quieter. The ducks quack pretty loud! Especially for treats!
Yea, id need the silent type!! Unless i got my zoo property up north.. 🤔

A whole zoo? There is a guy up here with Zebras . . .
Oh that would be cool.. i hear they nip quite a bit though. I think mini animals would suit me best. I considered a non profit rescue about 15 years back, with school field trip opportunities for kids in the city. So almost a zoo!!

You could volunteer at the horse rescue place in Chino Valley. Mini Donkeys are in the Christmas Parade in Prescott. Missed it, no parade this past year.

Oh id love to do that.. i think i remember going by a donkey rescue up there once.. and stopping by random properties w mini donkeys.. they would run up all excited doing their donkey honks!! I'm in the Phoenix area now.. for the forseeable future. I need to make peace with my current 6 pets tho... can you imagine how many I'd have up there??? I can't even go into tractor supply until chick days is over!!!

They count an acre as 35,000 sq ft. You might need to measure carefully.
The legal system is so convoluted when you compare "definitions" of historically accepted terms. You are right to point out that definition - THANK YOU!

Also in our zoning regs the offspring of on-site animals don't count in the total until they are 1 year old!

I don't need a zoo all to myself. I took a ride with a neighbor in her golf cart last week just down her long driveway -- There are regular horses, donkeys, CLYDESDALES, pigs, goats, all sorts of fowl -- and just walking the road I can see cattle, a horse ready to foal, sheep, llama or alpaca, turkeys, and more. Who needs to keep all the animals yourself when the neighbors put them on display! "Breaks the ice" for conversations too if they are out doing all the work to keep their animals.

I have people walking by stop and ask me about the chickens. You can see them from the street pretty easily. No Clydesdales here!

The reference was to a "commercial acre" your greenhouse might fit that description. Chino Valley has a lot of greenhouses. I think I read where they are permitting some of them to grow the newly legal weed plants.
