Crossing the Road
That is sad to hear. The White rocks are not the top of the order here, the Brown sex-link chases them. They are the ones the rooster breeds the most, they have lost some of the feathers on the back of their heads. Maybe that keeps them in their place? When I put in the young pullets, I was being extra careful to have 2 food sources, 2 waterers, 2 pans of treats when I give them extra leftovers or alfalfa. I was making sure no one was hungry, no reason to pick on the new birds!Just don't put those White Rock girl's in with the Red Dorking's that you are planning to get. Those White Rock's are mean, and the Dorking's are the lowest in the flock. One of those 2 White Rock's was banned from the coop today for the way she was beating up on a Dorking pullet. The Dorking pullet is dead now.
