Tiny eggs are fascinating to kids. Hatching them, even more!
If we get the celadon eggs, i will definitey let them hatch them. We would have to keep eggs hatching at an annual rate at a minimum to keep the celadons going. My daughter told me im going to have to process them a LOT so i can stop crying... because if it is just once in a while, ill never get used to the guts! 😂 i see them as more wild and flighty, not really pet material.

I was at TSC a while ago and I believe Privetts supplies the in-store birds, at least in our area of the country. I saw production blue and turkens sexed as pullets and these are available from Privetts but not Hoover's. i.e., Hoover's sells turkens unsexed only last I checked. Guessing that each area will have different suppliers to lessen the losses due to USPS delays.

I tried to not look, but there were ducks in the Tractor store by me in Prescott. I walked past as fast as I could, but it was Saturday before Easter, the store was clogged with people looking at the chicks!

Summer is a never ending battle with those ant's. They are everywhere, it seems!
If you could only figure out a way to harness them, and put them to WORK :gig
Have you tried amdro? I had a very serious fire ant problem, if you even stepped outside (with shoes!!) They would be on your leg biting. I enjoyed making little trails of amdro and sitting to watch them disappear within 15 minutes... forever.. 😌🌹💀
They have different formulas for different ants.
We don't have any fire ants in our area, but there are other varieties still present. Non-biting, but still unwanted, and this is what we use inside home.

There is a home-made version that can be made from a mix of the Borax, and Powdered sugar.

The way this works on ants;; Ants eat the mixture. :drool:drool:drool, The borax causes Gastro-intestinal air to develop. (AKA as fart:gig) Ants cant fart, so they pop.

This will not work so well if it gets rained on, washed down, but works well when dry. I mostly use it indoors, but have placed it outside. We get rain often, so it does get washed away often.

Some of the readers here know I have a Slightly Silly/Funny Side:old:gig.. When I sprinkle some of the borax, I say, "TAKE SOME OF IT BACK TO YOUR LEADER":lau

Then I sometimes hummmmm this melody to myself:old:idunno

Those just kill the ones that touch/eat it.. the amdro is carried back to the nest, and isn't active until they chew it up to feed their babies and queen.. and then it begins to cover the tunnels where the rest of the lot dies! Then, the distress call is made and the rest come back to help!! 💀💀💀

I'm pretty sure they carry some of it back to their queen, and some gets stuck to their legs, and body.
I never see dead ants where I place the bait. The way it seem to work, is they die somewhere in their tunnels/nests. :idunno
Ether way,,, it does control the ants for me.:thumbsup
