Arizona Chickens

Yes, orders for chicks or just hatching eggs would be good idea. That's why I'm bouncing this off all you experts here to get better ideas!
Far from an expert here! But, Bob who hatched our Barred Hollands only does it when he gets an order or wants his own replacements. I can't begin to tell you how many people think that there is something wrong with my Naked Necks! Too ugly for some peeps. I was just checking out the big Ranger Cross NN, she is heaver than any of the other pullets. I would be happy to hatch some of her boys to eat, even if crossed with Randy the Barred Holland. She would be better paired with a large meat boy, though.

You won't have to worry about anybody trying to steal your NN's then if they think that they are ugly. :gig

Yes I think I would do the same as Bob- for now I just think I need to build the flock up to good numbers so I don't need to keep the brown egg layers in the same coops to keep the roosters happy.

My Sister-in-law and fam came for a visit and I was explaining NN Roger roo to them - he's a chicken not a turkey and not a turkey chicken cross (as if that's possible) - they are city folk.

This is the big Ranger/Dorking mix NN girl with her White Rock buddy. She is heavier.

Do you need more NN hen's for Roger? These 4 girl's will be big enough for him, and he has bred them before. They have the dark colored leg's, that I cannot use for my breeding project going forward. There are also 2 of the 1 month old chick's here that have the darker leg's, plus a 3rd one that has the yellow leg's but has the wrong feather coloring.

Thinking about it...

This is one of your NN girls I got from @City farm -- her legs are a light yellow. She is buds with the smaller Barred Holland, you can see their legs are both yellow. She is a light grey pattern and lays green eggs.
