They don't have to be Red to taste good! Red would make nice colors with my grey birds. And the Red Dorkings really have the same color as a Brown Leghorn, I am waiting to get a call to see if they are shipping this week.

Tastes like chicken! I like seeing a pretty hen on the lawn, though. Just for fun. All of them are pretty -- even the NNs in their own way. But the big NN girl should have a boyfriend of her own size!

@CaroleW Just so that you know, those egg's would be fertilized by this boy, and could give you some interesting color's in chick's if you hatch them. He's in with them now.

He is a Naked Neck Aloha, and has some nice looking girlfriend's over here too! Even the Aloha girl's have that nice coloring in the feather's.

I've heard of "Naked Neck" of course (great birds for our Arizona heat) but not heard of Aloha. What makes it different from a "standard?" NN?

A lady here in AZ. created the Aloha's, and they are still under development. One of these was used in creating the NN Aloha's now, plus we are in the process to also have them be able to lay the different colored egg's like those Easter Egger's do. No, that the Barred Holland cockerel is not big enough! She is a big girl, the other NNs are much smaller than that one.
