Phew! two of them are the same bird just at different angles. At this point I was starting to worry that the cream crested legbar might end up as the only girl!

I can't speak for the expert (Bluebaby) but I suspected him because of his bigger redder comb at age 9 weeks. He's actually had a redder comb for a while now.

**ETA: and he's lighter in the barring like a male cuckoo maran or barred rock would be.

I do believe the rest that I didn't mention are girl's.

On #1084 the comb and wattles are a darker pink (leading towards the red). The wattle's look too dropped to be a girl @9 week's old.

I'm really not an expert on all of the breed's, basically just the straight combed one's. I have trouble with the peacombs and walnut one's. Silkie's are definitely one of the hardest breed's to sex when they are young.

And I've been getting paranoid about the shape of the hackle feathers. I often see pointy tips where there aren't. The black EE has been doing the "sideways" thing a couple times, at least today. we'll see.... then there's the roadrunner, he has blue on his earlobes. he's image 1096.

I was out there messing around out there by the chicken run this evening before their bedtime. I managed to flush a cricket out of hiding, and one of the Bielefelder pullet's snatched it up and ran with it, and the rest of them were all on her heel's trying to get it away from her.

@Stacaroni They are like that when you give them some leftover spaghetti noodle's too. It's so funny to watch them.

Does anyone know a good way to rehome a couple little cockerels? I’m so scared of just doing “free to good home” skit seeing as people don’t always have good intentions. Since one is my baby cuddle bug, Nugget, I’d love to see him go to someone who likes to cuddle chickens..The other is my baby Karen, Cooper. I swear he always has something related to needing to talk to a manager to fix things to his liking.
