My 2 cockerel's haven't started crowing yet, so I can't enter this crowing contest. Maybe some of you can, though.

My (hopefully) last cockerel isn't crowing yet either. Of the 7 I had for sure, only 1 crowed, and they're smaller for their age than when I had the first batch. Maybe my nonGMO feed is making them not crow??

If that's true, they need to market the feed that way. It would sell like hotcakes!

My husband said no roosters when we moved up here probably because he has a friend struggling with an aggressive one. It's been 6 weeks and he's already caved. I told him if we get a mean one, it will go to freezer camp.

4 weeks old and supposed to be a barred rock

It was also supposed to be a pullet but whatever it is we love it

That is a lot of comb for 4 weeks but it's still early. Similar thing happened with my OE. It popped up suddenly but never got any bigger.

I went straight to bed when he got home and just finished feeding all the critters. Now seems like a good time!
