Don't count on them waking up any time soon. They have the blindfold's on and only see the more money that they can make from the extra taxes that they can get from having more businesses and resident's moving in. Hay isn't the only thing that has been given away to them, what about all of those pistachio trees that guzzle up water?
They kinda have to wake up soon or abandon the power plant on Lake Mead.
Pinal county is rubber stamping any developer that want's to build out here in my area. Many time's we aren't even being notified of those plan's like we are supposed to be. We have to keep an eye on all of the meeting's that they have online at their site to know what's about to happen. Many of us are trying to fight it, but they ignore us like our opinion's do not matter.
Good reminder about the hoses. I turned off the supply line out to the coop/garden beds and drained them. But I typically don't think about the spigot and hoses against the house under the back patio roof. They may be close enough to the house to get some warmth, plus they're protected from frost, but it wouldn't hurt to wrap them.

When I used to commute into Phoenix I would call the water department about water leaks all the time. They were pretty responsive, I only had to call twice about one of them, but the rest were fixed very promptly.
I hope the hay farms go. My son is in the area affected by the no proof of water issue which is scary. I keep telling them to get out of there while the getting is good but they’re blind to it. It’s not a problem for them right now so they’re ignoring it.
It seems that they had you on the Easter Egg hunt ahead of time!
Thankfully not a hard Easter Egg hunt- only 4 places - they looked SO pretty sitting there in those clutches especially the dark chocolate Welsummer or Cuckoo Maran eggs!
