Arizona Chickens

Maybe...
I let her out yesterday evening with the others. She wandered about the yard & roosted with the others (fingers crossed).
This morning she was in the nestbox but... perhaps she's laying. Will go check on her in a bit.
She just wants to give you a hard time doesn't she D< LOL You'll get her broken of it soon. You're pretty vigilant with your babies.

Very cool! I have a lot of different breeds: a sapphire gem, a golden comet, a white leghorn, a Plymouth barred rock, a prairie bluebell Egger, a Rhode island red, four Easter Eggers, a silver laced Wyandotte, four crele old English game bantams, a crevecœur, eight silkie bantams, a buff Orpington, two unidentified breeds, and 14 Silverudd’s blue hybrids (different mothers).
Aaaahhhhh you have little EE's too and I see one in your profile pic! I have two EE's and they are a pain in my buns LOL. I was told at Cal Ranch they are such quiet birds. NO THEY ARE NOT. What a lie. Mine hollar and make so much noise asking for treats and attention..

I also have a barred rock, and a barred rock RR mix. The one pure barred rock is like a little princess and whines all the time while the mix is our house hen who thinks she has to protect us from the cats doing naughty things. (like tearing up the paper towels though the bird attacks the toilet paper in the same manner_

The house hen is just jealous because the cats got to the paper towels first.

Hi there! New here. My son and I are in the research phase, so no chickens yet. But I do have a question. We are planning to use the side of my house for a chicken run. It is east facing, and I have a 2 story house next to me. So that area gets a bit of morning sun, and shaded the rest of the day. Anyone build a run on the side of their house? My house is stucco and the wall is a cinder block wall. I want to build a little house (for nesting boxes and nighttime) at one end, and enclose the whole area with chicken wire. They will also be able to use my backyard when we are able to watch them. Anyone done something similar? Pics to share? Thanks!
