Can you all believe that the Black Angus Restaurant in Chandler ran out of the turkey there last night? They still had some of those sides available though. So, I got the 12 oz. Prime with mashed potatoes and turkey gravy for those potatoes. Our favorite waitress names Chris was there, and I had her busting up laughing with the tshirt that I wore that had also ended up being a joke about them running out of the turkey. I wore the Santa riding on a chicken one that I bought from Amazon.

Six mice caught so far, all females. None have been seen in the coop since we added the 1/4" hardware cloth.

There are tons of cactus mice in the desert, I don't expect to make any real impact on the population, we just want to discourage them from coming around the coop.

Yes, they do! Sometimes the bait was eaten without catching anything, and sometimes we caught something.

We used Victor snap traps and these reusable snap traps.

The reusable traps sometimes caught but didn't kill the mouse. The Victor traps killed them. For bait we used peanut butter or Kentucky Fried Chicken skin. I think the KFC is more effective but sometimes I used peanut butter because we had it on hand and I didn't want to drive to get KFC.

Just a little added hint on trap bait. Had good success with using pepperoni pieces.,, The ones I got did not need to be refrigerated.
I bake pepperoni pizza often, And I do keep in refrigerator regardless.

As for traps,,,,,, best are those that do instantly kill.
Victor snap traps are certainly reusable.

Works pretty darn well on mice, rats, and squirrels.
