Sorry things aren't going well. Sunday's hatch was a bust for me. 2 of 12 hatched, but I am not at all sorry since they were all pullet eggs. Some were newnew layers. All fertile, but croaked around day 13.

I did get a fan. It is a nice one and it seems like it works well, but I also think my bator varies 2* from one side to the other. How is that possible?

Good evening, everyone!

I sold my cuckoo maran rooster today. Sad to see him go.

The lady who bought him (a lovely lady named Shirley) was extra nice. So nice, she talked me out of my 3 ambulitory cuckoo maran pullets.

Oh well, Shanks will go to a new home with his sisters, and they will give her pretty eggs.

Just now, the baby let the chickens in, so his older brother goes running to chase them all out. **SKIP RESULTING CHAOS** so then the 4 yr old says, "Holy batman, Batman! The chicken spanked the bejeezus out of his booty body."

Finally, I made a little chicken website today, and needed a picture of my eggs. Had a hard time taking a good picture with nosey chickens. How is it these two aren't even laying yet, but they act all broody every time they see an egg?

I usually use webs too, very easy to use although they changed things and I couldnt change the html/css anymore

Mahroni, you'll be glad to know that the little cockerel I got from you is settling in well. He's slowly been making friends with the 'little girls' who are 2-3 weeks older than him, but today he went from slowly spending more time near them to running around as part of the flock, dust bathing with them and everything. The feathers on his back are starting to grow back nicely, and he generally seems to be happy and healthy.

Hmm, never had a Buckeye but Ive seen a few. Can you a mix order of different breeds? What others are looking for?

EDIT: I did forget to mention, Buckeyes are known for being loud from what I heard. We have neighbors would give any excuse to get us in trouble.
Other than that they sounds like the perfect chicken. ;0;
