Arizona Chickens

I am definitely going and toting 3 boys with me who are planning on taking some money with them, so I may be bringing some chickens home with us if anyone is selling.

budkingston- it is at the Pinal County Fairgrounds in Casa Grande, so you might be able to go online for a map. That's what I'm going to have to do. I've never been there.

Hope to see some of you there!

I did a Yahoo maps thing, then looked at it from the sattelite... I found a desert, nothing developed so figured that couldn't be it...

No that's probably right... my house is 4 years old and it's still not on Google satellite.

Here is the location link from the website.

I had just typd in Panal caounty fairgrounds since I didn't see an address. Using this address, I managed to get a different arial view, and this one shows a developed area with buildings this time!

Cluckin ~ I no just-talkie, I am going to the Show..... I made DBF drive to the last show in (far far away Tucson) so CG will be a breeze. I just cant go until the afternoon so I hope we can still see some good stuff. Oh, I really think we should wear like "Hello my name is" stickers LOL; last time I wandered around just wondering if these other peeps looking at chickens were fellow BYC members..... I probably creeped some people out

I'm jealous - mine are due Friday too, but I hear and see 'nothing' so far

maybe tomorrow

Woke up this morning, and the piped egg is still piped, along with another, and an egg that had no piped is just a shell... with a loveable little furball disrupting his incubator mates... kind of like that kid that wakes up early on Christmas morning and everyone else wants to sleep in...

Okay - I'm not jealous anymore - we have our first pip too
wee.gif
We can see the beak in one egg (our first pip) and two more are pipping - still cracked. All 3 are the BW/W ameraucanas. They are on the side closest to the light, so are probably warmer and may hatch sooner? I'm so anxious - I just hope I have enough oxygen & humidity in there for them (my first time incubating in an incubator).

WooHoo!! Keep us updated.

Came back and noticed 2 additional chicks had made it out of the shell. One of the chicks was separated from the yolk sac, and it was pulled from the shell. I have never seen this before since most of the shells are bone dry when I see them. I am wondering if he can make it at this point and should I remove him and give him a sip of water and some chow? He still has that Exxon Valdez look and is flailing about like a drunk sailor... Any advice?
