and the pullet had a messed up beak. The one EE roo ended up dying from who knows what.

I dont know where they order from, but I was not happy with what I got. So I dont get chicks from there. I think they ordered straight run and sold as pullets. JMO

I do get food and stuff from there though. They have pretty good prices.

My wife is a Pelican and was very active (was kingdom sheriff for a while) before kids/me. Life has become so busy with kids and an old house and what not but we play a little still and she wants to get out more.

I need to get going on mine, I kinda want a couple more chicks and it's an easier sell if the coop is done. Tomorrow it will be three weeks since I got these guys and they were about four days old. Do you think it would be better for me to get a couple more chicks now or wait for these guys to be feathered out and in the coop and then get some? The way I see it I'm going to have to introduce them sooner or later, it would be a pain having two brooders going right now but could be done for a while. I just really think I want a dark layer and a blue layer to add to the bunch.

Does anyone know if Mesa Feed Barn has chicks right now and if so what?

I will be introducing them in about a month and then they will live together till they are sold.

I dont know if Mesa Feed Barn has any right now. What kind are you looking for? I know tht AZnessie is getting some in and Im sure there is a few others on here that have some too.

I got my buff orpington chicks last Friday. I lost the two extras that they sent. They extras were super small. The others are doing well and peeping about. My camera is not that great so sorry no pics until they get bigger.

Sock Puppet - I have a couple of EE roos (available soon) and some LF Cochin pullets (Barred, Partridge, and Gold Laced - wont be available for a couple of months)
Im looking for a Welsummer pullet and Ameraucana pullet

Mahonri - has Ameraucana roos, but I dont think he has any pullets available

ArizonaNessa - has Buff Orps

Anyone else have anything to add to this.

Just copy and paste. We can help each other out this way (LOL)

Speaking of my husband, he already named the production red, and before we went to bed he wanted me to show him what the chickens will look like full grown. Yes, his conversion to chicken fanatic is progressing nicely! Mwahaha!

Got our Sabath naps in today after seeing Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. Visiting AZnessa tomorrow to add BOs to our little ones.

Loved reading about how dofnup and ADC crossed paths in the feed store!! How funny.
