Re: tweety birds. I have drastically reduced the problem by hanging a netting cloth in the "chicken doorway". . . . took about 3 days for the chooks to learn to go in and out freely, but only a few sparrows have managed to circumvent the system, and they are pretty easily caught and removed. Has reduced my layer feed bill DRAMATICALLY!

Like bird netting? How did you teach the chooks? Did they starve for 3 days till they learned?

(this solution would be of great help to me)

No,not bird netting. . . .I didn't want anyone getting caught in it. I used one of those white net bags that they sell to put one's "delicates" in, in the washer. . . .just tacked it up on the inside of the chicken door. I lifted one corner up, initially, so that they could get through, but still experience the netting sliding over their backs. each day I made the non-netted area smaller, by the 3rd of 4th day. .. all were used to just barging right through it. let me know how it is for you, if you try it.

I would like some of those but not for that price that's a little nuts isn't it ??

I have seen 15-20 a bird but 50?

Yes, it's ridiculous. Previous posts for these birds also stated that periodically they lay twice a day. PSH! Yeah right.

Yea Giants aren't really the best egg layers From what I know they are about 225 a year definitely not twice a day lol unless he means all ten lay a total of twice a day sometimes and then they are probably old birds

We did an interesting experiment in one of my business classes. It showed clearly that in general, people think items they have are of more value than those who do not have them rate their value. This case is an interesting illustration.
