Arizona Chickens

Marek's - I am still deciding what to do. I have very much appreciated all the information.

Mahonri - We will miss you! Hope you are back soon.

Hatches - Yippee! Glad for good reports of new chick's!

Laree - Using the broody's makes sense to me.

AZKat - interesting that the production is up. Very interesting. Thank you for sharing.

Snake - ick! Glad you saved them.

Mahonri sorry to hear that!!

So after speaking to ArizonaDesertChicks today I wanted to post some more pictures.

Take a look at the new ones on my flickr page www.flickr.com/smjacob and see what you think of the americaunas I am not sure if they are all pullets or one is maybe a roo. Just cant tell. I think pullet but i have my doubts. I also took some picts of some of the other birds we have just for the hell of it.

Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks and have a good night.

Shaun

Shaun - I looked at the pics of the Ameraucana/EEs. I can't believe how much your light colored pullet looks like my Wheaten/Blue Wheaten pullets. I'll have to take some pics and post them - she'll be beautiful. Do you still have the red/white one? The blue/brown one does look male - I'm not 100%, but that's what I'd guess. The coloring is looking much more rooish, the comb is dark (although smaller than I would expect), and maybe? I see hackle feathers starting. I hate to say keep waiting, but you should know real soon. Is that the one that was making the noises? You probably already know, but the BR and BO are still definitely pullets. I can't tell with silkies, but maybe someone else can.

Referring back to our conversation earlier; Here's an example of the hackle and sickle feathers that will show up on a roo, plus the larger, dark comb - this EE is about the age of the ones you got from me (it's 11-13 weeks of age in this pic -according to an older post, OP got them as little chicks in mid-march)

: Because I just discovered how to look at your pics full screen - a big help.

I second this sentiment!! Don't let them get you down, don't give them the satisfaction, instead give us the pleasure of your company!

You said a naughty word!

Seriously though---Mahonri, you really just need to stop slummin' it, and hang out over here. Spend some time in the "Unanswered Posts" and forget those hosers. Maybe volunteer for a project?

Just to clear this up. Mahonri is not banned. He did nothing wrong. There is no "Them" to get him down.

Please remember to use language suitable for all ages.

Sorry, thought it was a popular and well-known saying, didn't know it was considered offensive. Won't happen again.

Hurray for picture day!

Shaun - Nice to hear from you. Enjoyed the pictures. Could use a tip on how to make a full screen slide show on flicker.

newchickmom09 - Love the duck pictures! Thank you for posting them. So sweet! (ETA - You might need to update your signature...looks like more than 2 ducks now!)

dofnup - We all make a mistake now and then. Glad to have you here with us.

terrielacy - we appreciate the family friendly environment all your team does to support that.
