Arizona Chickens

Mahonri: Ack! You've been having a hard time lately! I hope you heal quickly, and that things turn around for you.

Let us know how it goes with introducing the chicks, I'd be interested to see if she takes the RIRs, since my broodys only took the two chicks that looked like the one they already had.

My forehead hit REALLY hard. I keep checking my eyes to see if I have a concussion.

I took pics. The worst one is my knee. It looks like hamburger.

The left wrist is painful everytime I type with my left hand it hurts. ouch

The biggest bruise is going to be on the left side of my face.

Won't I look wonderful teaching Sunday School this week?

You posted at the same time as me! Simulpost!

I'm not sure what that means, but it has to mean something, so... JINX!

I'm not entirely sure what that means either, but I think it means that you can't type until someone pinches you or something like that.

So, in the middle of a hot summer with temps at 115 today, we got 2 of 6 eggs to hatch. They are adorable. Pics tomorrow.... and we spent $18 for the five chicks at Pratts. So hope she can raise 7 chicks to maturity. Once they hit 7 or 8 weeks I'll probably sell the two RIR that I don't want and the EE I don't want. I'll probably keep the BWA X CQ and BWA X Black star if they are pullets.

My husband put our toddler to bed tonight... read him the stories and all of that. While he was busy I was super fast and baked him his favorite cookies from scratch, styled my hair (I even put a flower in it!), put on a cute dress, and poured some wine. Guess what he did? Stumbled out with no glasses on, turned out the light, and went to sleep.

I guess that means I don't have to share the cookies.

Mahroni - What are BWAs and CQs? Congrats on the chicks, I'm glad that some hatched.

Yes I am.

I felt badly for my little girl, she watched it happen saw the blood gushing into the pool and FREAKED. I didn't move much so my 15 year old pulled me out of the water.

I'm wishing I had something stronger than regular strength Tylenol right now.

I'm still thinking of getting up and doing the peak tomorrow morning just to try and get the kinks out and to help keep me from being sore.

I was hurting so it took me 40 minutes to get to the top of Squaw Peak this morning. Watched the moon eclipse set in the southwest and watched the sun come up in the north east. It was beautiful.

Coops are cleaned, chickens fed, feed mixed, now to get the house clean before my sweetheart gets home.
