I am in AJ as well. We have horse property and no HOA so never looked into ordinances. If you need eggs, let me know. Only have boring brown ones at the moment though. But I really do have a couple dozen extras right now that I need to get rid of before I leave town on Thursday.

Mahonri, I used to have insomnia. I solved it by drinking lots of coffee, then blamed it on the caffiene.

Tried that already with no luck. Everyone I ask acts like they have no idea what I'm talking about, then they send me to someone else. I've currently got a message in with a Mr. Stewart Jacobsen.

Was hoping to hear from someone who has personally gone through the process of becoming certified in Arizona.

Isnt it HORRIBLE!

I guess rules are rules and I should probably follow them... Maybe its just the universe telling me that I will be getting land in 6 months and to not get chicks yet...

I do need eggs, but cant get them this week, super duper busy, this is the first second I have had all day to relax and its 9PM... the rest of the week is like this as well so maybe when you get back to town we will have to touch bases! I LOVE any color eggs as long as they are local and not stuffed with crap!

she laid another egg. the kids were so darn excited! and when i put her back in the yard, the other big hens looked at her like, "oh, THERE you are. well, come on , let's go." i thought they would peck at her or something, but no, just like normal.

Bob's Hen Hospital is the best. no skaking, nothing. i don't know what you did to her but THANKYOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SpunkyJessa: LOL, maybe I am just more easily discouraged than you! For me it would be horrible to live as far out from the city as I do and not be able to have the animals I want. To me that is the #1 reason for living all the way out here. But if more land is in your future, go for it

Download a peer reviewed technical paper on a topic that you don't know anything about - or read a couple pages in some law book that always does the trick for me. Or hey, how about counting hatching chickens (instead of sheep): one chicken
