NoSkiveez - Did you sell your frizzles yet?

Nope, not yet. I still have them. I have a red pair, hen is frizzled/roo smooth (laying-freeloaders). I also have 3 black frizzles (adult rooster and two 6-8 week olds. I also have an extra frizzled red rooster. All are available.

I also have some Phoenix hens (roo avail too) and a white Silkie youngster and two silver laced Wyandotte youngsters. I thought all were gone but I missed two, I have a SLW roo.

Mahonri -I'm super jealous of your garden! What did you plant?

I just wish I had a bigger garden... I put in three rows of corn, 2 rows of peas, a row of beans, some squash, a few watermelons, tomato starts, broccoli, cauliflower, beets, lettuce, 3 pepper varietys.... I gave it all a good sprinkle/soaking.

Now the Sun needs to shine and warm, warm, warm.

Crystal, the girls are so tame and so pretty, I've got to get pics of those FBCM X GCMaran pullets for Bev Davis, she wanted to see pics of them on the Marans thread. Thank you so much again.

Noskiveez... my girls have slowed down but I should have enough for you by Wednesday... I HOPE.

I caught a break there for sure. She's a wonderful dog, I hope she lives forever. She was a breeder and was given to me because she contracted valley fever and could no longer be bred. Except they didn't tell me about the whole valley fever thing.

Fortunately when I took her to be spayed the vet told me and probably saved her life.

The chooks do not stray too far from the pen so far. I'm going to spend the majority of the day in the backyard weeding, cleaning and planting. I may even get my anti-chicken husband to help build the big pen for the ladies. I'm plotting my next coop. After that gets built I'll have a seperate pen for raising chicks and quaranteen. I have evil chicken plans. heh heh heh:lau

Mahonri- you were SO right about the nursery transplant prices. UGH! I bought just a fer plants and it was $40!!! So I'm going to start seeds in peat pots today, and stick to the basics. Except I'm putting in Green Cotton and a bunch of Moringa seeds.

Darwin, I'm so glad you like the girls. My kids played with them all the time. Plus, when we had the freezes I brought them in every night so they wouldn't freeze. They got used to being handled.

Mahonri and mclevinson, I think you two have inspired me to get on the ball. Time to get some seeds started!

TT! This is the earliest "Spring" planting I've ever done. I started too late in fall and even with a cover everything froze except the strawberries, Rosemary, and Sage. My mesclun lettuce and my other lettuces just sprouted and sat there. Never even got their second leaves. Even my peas froze, although they seem to want to make a comeback.

Mahonri: Are these all seeds, or starts?
