Bob's Henhouse, just noticed the "nuthouse"
. I am very serious about coming and helping. You live oh so close
to Wickenburg. Unfortunately I am one with no experience (do trout count?) but I am also very bloodproof and intenstines don't faze me
. I can come Fridays through Sundays 5am to 10pm or so (work Monday through Thursday).
Count me in. Just let me know when and where. Now, we just need to find someone who knows how!! I remember a really good thread with lots of pictures, going to see if I can find it again. I won't have any chickens to process until late summer (if my hatching goes well). If we can get this together, maybe we could all go in on a hatchery order for some meat chicks to raise and process.
My neighbor told there are a couple of places in Prescott that will process birds. I haven't checked myself yet.
My schedule is pretty open. Weekends work fine for me. Let me know.
Two places in Prescott do bird but you cant watch or help....my husband is GREAT at doing it , we wont be doing any until late summer or fall. we have to much other meat right now. I hope I make sense just got back from hand surgery
HALLELUJAH!!! My 9 month old leghorn FINALLY laid her first egg!! Today was the first time in a whole year of having chickens that I've come home to 4 eggs in the boxes
Hubby is easily distracted. I try to send him with a list but Big 5 jumped out infront of the car and he was forced to go in. Then he stopped at Lee Lee's for horse radish root and there is some debate about how long he was in there.Lol.
I'm excited to put these eggs in. I haven't hatched any in this incubator and I am really itching to try it out.
Mahalo - Hubby called me and told me he wants to get a beast like Tank.
I got a polish egg today. Do you know what this means? They will go back on egg strike again starting tomorrow. I wish I had a functioning incubator when they did lay well.
