Congratulations Nurse shelly

did you use the hovabator or the wine fridge incubator

Thanks

I used both, the wine fridge one for incubation til day 18, and the hovabator for lockdown. I finally figured it out that the wine fridge incubator can do 3 dozen per tray and still have room to turn by hand (every other slat), and I have 3 trays in. I could do four trays, but it would make it a little tight for hand turning. I could technically fit 6 dozen per tray, but it would be really hard to turn them, since it's easier to have the empty slat as space for my arm. Way more than I need - LOL!

How about getting an automatic turner for the wine fridge like you would use in a hovabator?

I thinks Sarah and I may be gone the month of July for health reasons. I also have to sell my hens and starts or arrange for supervision for Emily to pet sit. It's all up in the air.

I could help supervise on Wed/Thur/Friday/Saturday, not like I live far away! The other days would be too hard since I do 12 hour shifts.

You are a treasure, and I'll return the favor anytime!

I picked some grass and threw it in with the chicks this morning they were going crazy.
