Ah Mikey. Shall I go finish my incubator? If I hurry I can run a test batch of TJ's and have your eggs in there in 4 weeks.

if someone would come over here and show Mr. Roo how "it's" done and tell his hens to start laying again, you could have beautiful wheaten marans!!!!!!

Pastrymama has anger issues. Put the chocolate on the ground, and back slowly away.

I really don't want any. Are you going to get some? If you do, I might take two, keeping my fingers crossed that At least one would be a pullet. What I don't need is to explain to a twelve year old that we have to get rid of a rooster. I'm trying to get her interested in something that comes sexed.
Pastry mama, that is so sweet of you. I still have three buttercups and three Golden penciled Hamburgs. I like the buttercups better than the Hamburgs. If you need to get rid of her sometime though, I'd take her. I like the buttercups. Nice size and always around when I'm working in the garden. Very cute.
How do they lay?
Mikey, thanks for calling. You would think they would know what they are hatching for at least the next twenty one days? I could go ahead and do the order for Sept 7. Let me clear it with Joe.

tracydr- i am getting some, but I am not sure if I will get them before my husband leaves on thurdsay. He has to make another trip in about a month to finish the job. I will get them and try to find you a pullet or two and send them the next time he comes. If they turn out to be roos, I'll trade you. I am still not 100% they are purebred, but I know what they should look like for sure. I'll keep you posted.

Tracy - Sept 7 works for me. Tammy is sitting right here ignoring me while I speak aloud and type so I'm taking that as (now she is chuckling) clearance for the flight plan!

Let's get together and order some PEEPERS!

p.s. I think Kev might want in on this. Kev?

I might, actually I do, but I'd have to check with the BOSS first. I'll have to get back to you on that. She's really liking the Wheaton Marans, Lavender Orpingtons, and Faverolles; although with the recent info on the Faverolles that's probably a no no. I dont think you can order that specific can you? Plus we still need to find some homes for some of the older ladies.

Kev,

Not ever having ordered...

It seems like you can order very specifically in whatever quantities you'd like. The reason for going in together on an order is to avoid the minimums & having them stuff the order with roos.

Here is a link to the Standard breeds ordering page:

Standards linkey

And the Salmon Faverolle page (which I think I'm gong to try anyway as they really look cool!)

Salmon Faverolle linkey

Hope it helps!

Mikey
