Someone in Tucson did that recently. I think Constance got in on it but I can't remember who organized it. I think she shaved $5 off a $30 bag of feed (I might be completely wrong about that though). ca, congratulations on your 500th post!

Does anybody out there just love Pluots? Or know anything about them? I can barely remember eating them but I saw the most magnificent tree at the local nursery. It requires only 400-500 chill hours and fruits heavily from late June into July. That would perfectly follow my May-June harvest of plums.

Pluots are a hybrid of plum and an apricot. They are pretty tasty.

This kind had a green skin when ripe (which I think would be great at limiting losses to birds) and a wonderfully pale rosey flesh. I had originally planned on an apricot tree, but maybe this might be a good alternative.

I just got some lav orp eggs and the box, packaging material and eggs smell like cigarette smoke. Do you think that I should put them in an incubator by themselves? Do you think the smell will get in my incubator and ruin it?
