I have been growing out a whole bunch of Aloha Chicks this summer, and FINALLY I'm ready to cull some! So, I have a bunch of really PRETTY roosters that need new homes. If anyone is interested, please PM me.

They are still young and growing. There are lots of colors. These will be kind of small, bigger than a Banty but not as big as a Sussex or Orpington. I'd really love to find someone with some Buff Orps to cross with one of these roosters, so I can hatch the chicks out from that cross. Going to post on Craigslist, but wanted to also post here. I'll charge a $5 or $10 "rehoming" fee on Craigslist, but for a BYC member they will be free. Will be fully mature and ready to breed by December, if not earlier.

Now, that is what they look like RIGHT NOW. I have about five extra roos. But, here are a few photos of adults, so you know what they'll look like all grown up. (Much prettier!)

Benadryl Chicken update -

all three looked great this morning, and dare I say 'depressed' about being inside away from their buddies, so we put them outside and will monitor them to see how they do. Last night we whacked a bunch of scorpions so hopefully that will reduce the chances of another encounter for a while.....
