That's a good idea, seems like they all said the same sorta thing about local pickup only though.

Part of that is this time of year s just too hot for shipping. In a few more weeks that should change

did I mention that some of your eggs turned into peepers?

I have two W/BW AMs, one olive egger, and one AMxBrahma. My first chicken with boots! They are pretty laid back. Took them 3 days to start making some noise. They were just sleeping and behaving way too well. Compared to previous hatches anyway. I am just always amazed how a bunch hatched together develops a "group personality" almost independent of the breed.

Our rake got less scary when I started using it to find crickets. Now it's worshipped and when I pick it up chickens come running. It makes it hard to actually rake anything.
