Is that place in Higley still selling? I quit buying when it went past $6 a gallon.

I found a place that you have to pick up from somebody's house every two weeks. It's $10 a gallon, so I haven't used it. $10 a gallon is just too much.

I think that's the same place I've used. Haven't bought in several weeks as it just got too expensive. It was delicious though

and lasted much longer than the homogenized, pasteurized stuff from the store.

I heard that it lasts longer but no milk stays on premises long enough to find out.

There are only 3 of us left in the house and we're not big milk drinkers. Now cheese and butter are a totally different story!

$10!?

That is crazy! But its economics. If somebody pays that much, why not charge that much. BTW I drank plenty of raw milk straight out of the cow back on the farm.... I love it and never had a health issue. Too bad it's regulated in this country.

Aurora, your girls are still on the very small side but they sure are loving! One tried to jump over a 6 foot fence the other day when she saw me on the other side coming. She must have been missing me for a couple of hours

I could probably compete with you. After building a house we looked at the workshop and thought we should open a tool rental place

. The better half is into fixing old (like really really old) cars. Too greasy for me.
And I have to admit that I like it here so much that it will take a lot of horse power to make me go somewhere else on weekends

. Maybe we have a teleconferencing plucker building party?

No competition necessary.

I'm pretty settled here for building projects as well. If you need, I've a milling machine and lath for making the spinny round parts. Let's definitely conference on the construction as I figure more minds = better products!

"milling machine"

- Mikey! you are tempting me! Let's definitely keep in touch about the "project". We'll build the world's prettiest, best, most efficient, ... chicken pluckers! Let me know if you want to buy the other fingers, I'll participate in an order. My brain is on age-induced limited capacity: what sort of region of this lovely State do you build your coop in? (Mesa-isch? Tempe-isch? I forgot)

Me too! I read a few traditional food blogs and one, GNOWFLGINS, has a cultured dairy & cheese online class I have access too. I'll have to carve out some time in my day to read through it.

I bought 5 gallons from the Higley farm to make cheese. Best milk ever. 60 miles round trip though
