And to thank everyone for all the kind words on my babies! The quail are growing although still tiny! lol...
The button quail, the tiny one's have eggs about the size of a peanut M & M. The Coturnix quail egg about the size of a walnut. A few more have hatched since I posted those pics.

I've really enjoyed having them! Were getting a few eggs each day and they are fertile! So we are going to put a few of our own in the bator this week!

Our newest baby is doing well and resting. It looks like the other eggs wont be hatching, so for now I gave him 2 baby quail to keep him company.

I hope you don't mind a ton of pictures! I took bunches! LOL!

I hope you enjoy them! It was fun getting to watch them hatch!
I took a break from working on the Aviary today, my back hurts from leaning over the incubator for 4 days now! ROFL!

Tomorrow we are expecting Serama eggs, and Silkie eggs! Can't wait!

Hello to Curt, chickin and Blessed!

and welcome to our AZ thread.

Mikey D, I can't wait to see what you do with your feeder. There's nothing special about the dimensions of mine, I just planned it so that it could be made from a 1/2 sheet of plywood. Metal would be far superior.

I love the info you shared on using herbs in the nest boxes!

Now if only I can keep mine alive long enough to use.

I've hear of lemon scented herbs being good to keep mosquito's away, and if you make a tea/rinse of Rosemary, and use it on your pets after a bath, it will keep ticks and fleas away.

The many uses of herbs is something I would love to learn more about.

Thank you!
It's a sweetie! If I put my hand in the brooder it runs to it and snuggles!

I had chickens years ago, but got them as older birds. I just love the little chick!
If it's a hen, it will be a sweet girl!

lol I suspect there are far more stalkers than there are posters

I think I stalked for almost 1 1/2 years before I posted!

Will it be too hot for their little chicken feet in the middle of the summer? (I'm not trying to bag on your idea, just wonderin'. You are a most excellent welder!)

And soooo sorry for all the troubles in Gilbert. Why don't people just let other people be happy!?

Speaking of lurking, anybody hear from 5pinkarrows lately?
