I just hatched 2 seramas and they are booted! (feathered feet) I can't believe it. I am so excited. The 4 year old named them Sammy and Tammy. I need to post some pictures.

Very rare to get a pic of all my gals together. Gretchen ( GLW) had jumped down before I could snap the pic.

Working out the balance with a Barred Rock. Tiny-est chickie.

One Dot helping out!

Got the acrylic installed in the gauge slots

Finally got it lagged to the wall. It's about time!
The two barred Rocks cooperating to open the feeder. It takes any 2 smaller chickens to do it, or one big one!
But, the weight of any one chicken will hold it open.

I think they get it! That's One Dot and a Barred Rock.

That is one UGLY Cornish! After sticking his face in the feed, he plopped down on the treadle - his new home.

Several of the chickies tried pecking the feed through the gauge.

And finally...the lid! Yay! Now to make sure everyone knows how to get feed.
They are going to have to cooperate until they get bigger!

They seem to be OK with climbing up on the treadle but they're going to have to do it 2 at a time for now.
I'm not sure if I'm going to prop the cover open, maybe just see if they can do it. We'll find out tomorrow.

Thanks Mama! You wouldn't think an enormous bird like that cold move much but you should see him run when I show up with treats!
Sure wish they'd stop pecking at him though...
