OMG Hoarders is my favorite show ... some of the people are really quite crazy. I also tell my son "look what happens if you don't clean your room!" Some of them are so gross ... like "oh look we found 25 dead cats in your house that you didn't know you even had." The people are like "Hmm I wondered what happened to Fluffy, thought she just ran away."
On a side note, my neighbor 2 doors down is a hoarder, not quite as bad as the ones on the show, but getting worse all of the time.

That's disgusting!

I'm a pack rat, not a hoarder!

Bob's Henhouse :

Had a good moving day today, moved an 8X10 coop, a smaller former rabbit hutch (4X10) 20 some odd ducks, all but 2 of the remaining roosters and hens, all the potted plants and trees, and misc stuff. Hope to get all but the big coop out of the back yard, (will have to take it apart and move in pieces) tomorrow. It feels good to actually SEE some progress. This has been going on for WAY too long! ! ! Did I mention that my back is killing me?

good on you for keeping at it. Moving sux.

I've got an excellent back Dr. He is an MD with a chiropractic background - did his Dr thesis in lower back issues. He can crack ya and shoot ya and he's a nice guy as well.

Lemme know...

Good morning Noel and happy birthday to the twins!

We had about a dozen loud Harleys here last year with rock and roll and all the other stuff us biker folk tend to do at a small noisy party and next day was a huge day for the hens, lots of eggs.

You may get a load of eggs today...

Guess they like an occasional hootenanny.....

Edit cause... well just because

That's great to hear! I'm bringing mine up to the cacophony of power tools!

Good morning folks!

It was 46 degrees here last night. (Yes I'm soft hearted and turned on the heat lamp)

This gal was peering in the window this morning.

Something like, "Hmmmm I wonder how I can get in there where it's warm...?"

Thanks Shelly for the vet info... as soon as I hear the first crow, I'll give him a call.

Boston should be bringing back the splash Ameraucana on Wed. and Turkey Breeder brought back an awesome looking roo that he hatched from my eggs... almost looks like a clone of his daddy. VERY NICE. no crowing yet. 4 of the 7 ameraucanas were in the nest boxes this morning, so either they are going to lay or they are pretending to go broody.

I've decided I'm going to for sure sell the black star (such a good layer), the light brahma, the PW leghorn and the GC Maran (sister to the ones Bootsie has) ... she doesn't lay very dark but the eggs are big.

My eggs, the only two left in the incubator, that really did look fully filled with chickies, and with a healthy air whole at the top, last I candled them are on day 21! Not peep out of them!

I am so disapointed! I will wait a couple more days. Sure hope Cotton, the silky hen will have more luck in hatching the ones she is on.

Same here. Day 21...at least by my calculations. No peeping, no nothing

Kids are starting to really get concerned. I hope this experience is not a disappointment for them. I will wait until tomorrow & see if anything happens.
