Here is their compost bin..I didn't get a pic of their garden
I guess I should never believe what Mikey says LOL
The rain didn't even wash it off. I am going to have to drive around town with my permanent BYC.com.
Next stop - re-purposed chicken tractor & coop & compost drum
I think this might have been the Grow House - not sure though
This was a very nice couple's set-up whose main attraction was a bunch of dairy goats
We learned that they will produce up to 2 quarts a day!
They let the younglings in to pet a goat - she had it restrained so the kiddies would have a good experience.
Another shot of the best part of the crew!
Yes - I stenciled that all over dad's van!
GO BYC!!!
This was at an elementary school - we drove by this place 3x looking for it!
The young lad with the chicken was a very articulate student of the school.
And this is the brooder that Meg-Moringaseed wants someone to build her.
This was a steel coop with a chandelier! - Another very nice bunch of people.
This was several repurposed coops / tractors.
The gal here said she has been feeding her birds cat food, bird seed and oyster shells for many years
this guy had a very nice yard with a HUGE run fenced off for the chickens - this was his coop

Thanks!! I think I might add my coop to next years Tour de Coops!!! We are working on aquaponics. We have about a dozen Tilapia in the pond and are growing wheat grass and "chicken salad" in a couple tubs for the girls. We also have some veggies for us as well. We also took down the one section of the lattice fence between the pool and "grass" (what's left of it)
