Maybe one day I'll be able to keep something green alive...

Aside from algae in the fish tank...

I keep offering you my African Sumacs. I'm telling you, they cannot be killed!

I would like some.....

I came home yesterday and found 2 chickens dead and half eaten. My gate was open and I just assumed it was my big blue pitbull, that we have had issues in the past with regarding chickens. Well today I saw the culprit in action. Some stray dog I have never seen before!!!! It killed my two favorite Giant Cochins, Oprah Henfrey and Yellow belly and them two BWA'S. No more free range until.I asm just happy that it wasn't our dog after all. Anyways...does any one have BWA/WA eggs or chickens they are trying to sell or relocate rooster and hens needed. I will be there february for Poultry show. I am desperate. I have 20 mixed junk chickens and all my breeding projuect for The 4Hers keeps having issues. PM if you have anything or know of anyone. Thanks!

Trade ya! I want to live in Pinetop! I loved my winter in Showlow. How much snow do you have now?

Well, about 10 inches so far from this storm. Add that to the snow from the last few storms, and we have around 3ft. We had to put up extra fencing around our duck pens because of all the snow. They keep walking right over the existing fence, and into each others runs. The chickens hate the snow! They have the option of coming out or staying in, and they choose to stay in. I leave their door open just in case.

At least we will have a white Christmas.

Now here is Ivy/Ivan. What do you say? Is he a roo or a hen. That eye makes me wonder. He is my love even tho he is a mix silky. I play with him all the time.

Memphis...So sorry about your chickens

We have to keep ours in a run, or my cockers would get them. Before we got it built if one got out, all four would be on it, not sure if they were trying to kill or just catch, but not taking any chances.

AZhenhouse, you can have it, the only time I miss snow is this time of year, so I will adjust

We had a gorgeous day, about 57, a little wind, but sunny

It dried out for the most part again. I laughed so hard today I cried at my 3-1/3 week old silkies and marans chicks, I threw some spinach leaves in their brooder tub and they were so scared they were screaming and standing with their faces at the sides
