azkat: Wow. I'm not sure what the saying pastrymama had in mind was but "sufficient unto the day is the evil therein" I think it boils down to "don't borrow trouble". That being said, wow, sucky. And in the midst of all this chaos you have a new life beginning.
Now, I call that the light at the end of the tunnel.
What kind of work do you do?
I tried working last year but had to give it up after sick and/or misbehaving kids made me miss too much work. I'm an Executive Assistant and working as a part time receptionist (no benefits) wasn't even paying the food bill so I would have had to give it up anyway.

I think Pastry was shooting for KINE-AHORA which is akin to don't jinx yourself by saying it out loud - like "I've never gotten a speeding ticket".

I was working retail, I've done administrative work and been an aide at a preschool. I'm not overly picky, and I can learn fast. Right now, my main goal is going to be to find something part time as soon as possible.

I did have some good news at the doctor's-the heartbeat was 113 beats per minute, on the low end of normal, but nothing to be worried about, since the heart just started beating. She was able to confirm that I'm a little over 6 weeks along, which puts my due date on August 17th. So, fingers crossed that everything will be ok at my next appointment. I know that I'm more nervous than I should be, but I miscarried twice between Son #2 and Son #3, both of which were early term losses.

So sorry to hear about your troubles and hope things take a good turn soon.

Stressing about the New Years Hatch. I had two instances where my bator got shut off, one for 7 hours and one for 2 hours. What am I going to do if i don't hatch any? I promised my 8 year old that he could could show at the county fair, but if I don't get chicks from this hatch its too late to try again.

Prayers for your family Kat.

Just got off the phone with Boston. Geoffrey died. It's not been a good month.

I'm getting eggs from San Diego where Geoffrey's gorgeous son is the daddy and I'll be putting them in the bator just as soon as I clear out the NYD hatch eggs.

Lockdown tomorrow.
