Arizona Chickens

Hi everyone! Just giving a quick reminder (in case life (such as mine) has been slipping by fast and you forget!) of the Arizona Poultry Organization show that starts day after tomorrow (Feb. 10-12) at the AZ state fairgrounds!

I can't make it to the poultry show after all, as I'm flying out of state for work. My main reason for going was to try to find Australorp breeders to get a replacement roo for next season. I don't suppose any of y'all would mind jotting down contact information shown on any Australorp cages?

Chickens love wild mustard. They also love the globe mallow, or cheese weed. In Spanish they call it malva. There is something in these weeds that really make the hens lay. They also love careless weeds which are supposed to be poisonous, but so far none have died.

In a good wet year, you can really cut down on your feed bill just by clearing the weeds from the alleys and vacant lots. Unfortunately, we have not had a lot of rain this year.

I'll try and remember to do it for you as well
