Arizona Chickens

What are EEs?

I have chickies! A friend of mine is just getting into chickens, and she decided to start with EE's from Meyer, and I got six from her order. They are so cute, and Michael is fascinated by them. He has spent the past hour sitting by the brooder talking to them.

Of course, when I went to the Mesa Feedbarn today to pick up chick starter, they had just gotten in a shipment of chicks. The usual suspects, Barred Rock, Rhode Island Red, and EE, but they also had Buff Orpingtons which I've wanted to try for awhile. So now I'm thinking about getting a couple of Orps and sneaking them in with the EE's. No one will notice, right?

I am a Mama again!!! Just brought home these 2 tuckered out EE's. They are 2 days old. Next week, hopefully, I get Silver Laced Wyandottes and Cuckoo Marans.

Miley is happy to have babies again.

It is good to see everyone again! There are lots of familiar faces, and lots of new ones, too :)

Mikey D - what are these shirts that you are talking about? Did I miss an oportunity to submit some of my amazing artwork??
What kind of chicks are you raising this time? I've read that mixing ground oatmeal into their food prevents the sticky butt.

Macaroni! - What type of chickens do you have these days? You usually have the best! I'll have to remember your offer

Arizonachicken - that egg made me cringe! Did the chicken need an episiotomy?

Rufus - thank you for the weed tips! I wish I could get some globemallow started. The seeds I took from Gallo haven't sprouted yet.

itsredcandy - cute coop!

AZKat - EE's are the best!

Mama Hen Chris - great pics!
