FuzzyB, put water in at least one reservoir, not sure about Wittman, but we are very dry down here without much humidity. You need a hygrometer to tell you and should calibrate it. They are pretty cheap at a pet store or I have one built in with my thermometer I got from Wal-Mart.

It's serving the purpose right now, more of a temporary grow out pen.

I'm not sure I'm even going to save it.

I told Tammy that I'm going to fence off part of the yard so the chickies stay off the patio - which means I'm going to have to purchase a 100' roll of 1/2 x 1 fence.

Oh darn - that'll mean I'll have a bunch left over.

Made a killing at home depot today! All of this lumber (in the cast offs / discounted lumber section) we purchased at a grand total of $60.00! 21 pieces of 12ft. lumber, plus a crap ton of shorter pieces! Chicken coop building, here I come!!!

This will not be of immediate assistance but the bulk feed order has broiler feed int both the chick starter and chick finisher varieties.

There will be another order placed Mid March for delivery in the beginning of April.

I will try and locate one. How cheap is cheap? I need to take some water out right now. I have heard of dry incubation but don't know how that works in AZ.

I think I got my first from PetSmart...reptile one for about $4-5. The combo thermometer with humidity was about $9 at Wal-Mart I think... Dry here is too dry without water, at least down here...I tried dry hatching the first time and was below 20%, which I knew no better...I had 2 hatch, but 1 died. I think even with dry hatching the humidity needs to be at least 30% or they will dry out too much....I have quail in mine now and have a heck of a time keeping it over 39% or so....
