Arizona Chickens

Ok, my new coop/tractor is ready. I'm planning on putting the hen and her chicks in here (if any of the eggs hatch). Should I put her on the ground or in the coop with her new little ones? How soon will they be able to navigate the ramp? Suggestions?

Two of the 6 that died, were chicks I gave to a friend. Naturally, their hearts were broken. I gave them a black silkie, and a white crested black polish. They are looking for a black silkie, and a white silkie. They do not want another chick, they couldn't stand another heart break of another chick not making it. They wish to get a teen or adult silkie chickens. I figure that many of you might have or might know of a silkie breeder. If anyone knows of someone who has silkies, let me know the contact info so I can give that info to my friends.

Does anybody have any fertile hatching eggs? A friend needs two or three for a school project. Don't worry! Any chicks will be safely be home. I will gladly pay for them. East side preferred as the class is in Mesa.

Thanks!

I do not have any but I am curious (if you don't mind) - what class and where?

Lost another 2 ducklings this morning. /sigh. On an upside, all the rest of the ducklings and chicks seem to be active, healthy, lively, and doing great!

Sorry Nova - that sux

Thanks Gallo! I hope you don't mind me borrowing your plans for my own. :)
Yes, my son made sure I wasn't working on this all by myself. He is a big helper. Getting the level, tape measure etc if they were out of my reach. He used his trucks to push the dirt back around the brick after each one. I made the mistake of doing a couple brick while he was taking a nap and I got an ear full.

I steal plans from him all the time!
