Hey everyone!!! Thank you so much for your support. I certainly couldn't have found a more loving and supportive community!

Everything is going great here! My tiny flock of tiny chicks never got sick (they were in their own area the entire time), the ducks, geese, and turkeys are doing fantastic. I Oxine sprayed the living crap out of my property (I got a new and unused industrial sized weed sprayer to do the job!) and am thankful for the 100+ degree weather we have been having to bake my property to high heaven. The neighbors roo, whom I feared came down with what my flock got) is doing fantastic! He merely had a straw in his nostril and is doing great. Happy to give the bright side update. Thank you all for all of your suggestions, hints, and tips. I am so new to the chicken raising (since January of this year) and have lots to learn still. Thank so very much to all of you!

Unfortunately the chick was dead this morning. The poor rooster Hawkeye is worse and still acts partially blind. I think we will loose him.

I set some eggs yesterday I got from Bootsie. Trying again to hatch some ameraucanas. Thanks Bootsie! I pretty much know what went wrong with my Easter hatch. Hope I have a good hatch this time for planning on keeping one rooster and all the hens.
I really think this black silky is a hen. She is 8 weeks old. What does everyone think? Also she is a purebred silky right? Has all the toes she needs. The others are silkies also and they are from the same hatch.HEY my rooster Tumbleweed has 6 toes on one of his feet!

thats to many toes. they should have 5 total no more no less . If I get one that doesnt have the right amount I dont use them in my breeding program because that will carry on to the next generations.

I see feathers streaming from the head backward, if I am not wrong I think that is roo material...My oldest white has that from November, and I see one of my blacks from January coming that way too....Keep us posted....

If it turns out to be a Roo im going to spank Fuzzybird and she can swap me out a hen
