Arizona Chickens

Hi Everyone,
You are all busy as always here on the AZ thread. Almost 3000 pages! Wow.

I have been absent for awhile, a loooong while. I am hoping you won't hold that against me.

We have a broody hen in Mesa that we would like to give some fertile eggs to. We were thinking of giving her something other than chicken eggs, as we are good on chickens for the time being. Does anyone have fertile eggs, maybe muscovy duck or quail that they'd consider selling? Or, if you have some chicken eggs, We can have her raise some babies and for you. We just don't need more chickens right now. PM me and let's talk. Or...if you have some specialty chicken eggs, we might look into starting with a new breed. Send ideas our way!

LOL! At least you know they are honestly working hard for a living =) My dad was one of those who worked as a mechanic out of our garage. He couldn't afford to get a "shop" in town to do his work. Is it the prettiest? Nope. It is a sign of the struggle Americans are faced with in terms of income and jobs. My heart goes out to them. Freedom over dictatorship

Oh yeah. I agree with you. I just wish they wouldn't triple park in the street for days on end. The one at the end of the street at least has the cars up in the yard. Not pretty, but at least out of the way.

LOL! At least you know they are honestly working hard for a living =)  My dad was one of those who worked as a mechanic out of our garage. He couldn't afford to get a "shop" in town to do his work. Is it the prettiest? Nope. It is a sign of the struggle Americans are faced with in terms of income and jobs. My heart goes out to them. Freedom over dictatorship :yiipchick

Sonoran Silkies, I did what you said and felt the vent area on Poppy. Very loose vent. So we at least can be more sure of hen then not sure. You said you have 2 paint roosters to sell? Could you please send pictures and tell me what one would cost and I can come with my friend to Tempe when she picks up her daughter but not really sure yet what day. [email protected]

Hello All.

I am brand new to the Forum and have been wanting chickens for about a month now. My wife is adamantly opposed to them, thinking they'll be the grossest, smelliest creatures on Earth. I am hoping to find someone near Peoria, Arizona that is currently raising them and has a good, fairly small setup. I would love to bring her and my girls by so that they can experience it and see they really aren't as bad as she thinks.

Any takers? Any recommendations? I decided to post a new message, rather than trying to track down everyone individually. I've found a few in Mesa and Glendale, but feel like contacting them directly is sort of akin to telemarketing... Yuck.
