Arizona Silkies

At the moment I don't. If one of the ones I kept is a rooster I may have him available. I couldn't believe how fast these beautiful birds sold. I had a Craigslist ad up for only 3 hours and they were all spoken for. I do plan on getting more hatching eggs and only plan on keeping a few from my second batch. If you are interested I can post when I have them in the incubator.

Yea that would be great! Do you just buy the eggs on eBay still? I've never tried hatching my own eggs.

Could you share pics of what they look like now?

I buy them directly from Linda but she does sell they on eBay as well. Hatching shipped eggs is a gamble but as long as they are packed well, you should be able to hatch some. I will upload some photos tomorrow of the ones I kept. They are so sweet and I can't wait to hatch more.

Who is Linda? Does she live in AZ?

Hi, new to the thread! Relatively new to silkies, as well. My two are three months old right now. The white one's Sugar and the brown one is Spice, and I'm pretty sure they're male and female respectively. My local feed store happened to have silkie chicks in October and I couldn't resist bringing some home. They are SO SOFT! I can't get over it! Totally different from all my other chooks, I can totally see why traders in the 1800's got away with calling them rabbit-chicken crosses. Spice is a bit more independent than Sugar; Sugar is basically a living teddy bear.

I have 19 in the incubator and they are due to hatch around March 26. They are developing right on schedule and I do plan on selling most of them. When they hatch I will upload some photos and you could let me know if you're interested.
do you still sell the splash silkies?
