Arizona Silkies

So looks like the family mixed up some eggs that I didnt want to incubate , good thing only one hatched ,hoping its a hen I can use for laying or pet. But I also hatched a few blacks and only got one but its a cutie pie. Looks almost Blue, Here are the Parents too.

Daddy ( Pepper )
Momma ( Tulip )

Wow you have had Tulip long enough to hatch eggs from her? I may have made a boo boo selling her!

I am going to be consintrating on the paint color and have to have a black hen to breed to paint. But One of Cotton's Black chicks I still have should work well if I get a hen. I hope they are as pretty as Tulip when they are grown up. I am naming the next black hen Lilac!

What a super cute little fuzz butt you have there!

If she lays anymore eggs im going to incubate ,but shes in with the buff girl so not sure what colors I will get because I dont have these two separated. i still cant tell sex on the other blue.. looking to pick up a few more silkies soon. Need Black, white , buff Roos

Cotton has layed 14 eggs I have in the bator now. I am trying to stop her broodiness. Keep taking her off her empty nest. Feel sorry about taking her eggs but its to hot to have her stressing like this.

I think I may have come on to something! I was looking at my Silkies combs. Out of the three 16 week old, Poppycock has a rounded comb. The other two Daisy and my black has a long flat comb with just a bit of bumps. So I really think that Poppycock is a cockerel and the other two is for sure pullets.
Also my 3, 11 weeks old shows a differance in combs. I really think two are cockerels and the one I think is a hen is not a keeper for the toes aren't right.

So thought Id share with you all a picture of one of my chicks when it was born and what it looks like today. I have 2 this shade of partridge and other shades including a pretty red partridge.. Plus a question about the color . My Question is if they were born partridge with the chipmuck pattern are they still partridge?

Here is my little red partridge when it was a chick and now @ 3 months
