Arkansas Blue egg layers

I will be offering something similar, once the snow melts and mud dries up - right now I am concerned egg quality is not optimal.
when you are ready

The F1 cross from my AB cockerel to my own breeding project started laying eggs at 18 weeks and 2 days old. One of five of the pullets anyhow but they all look similarly developed so they all should start soon but they are fairly small birds still. This is earlier that most of our hens have started laying and without supplemental lighting in the coop. I currently have 38 eggs in the incubator with specific hens eggs marked so I can track their lineage by banding them at hatch. Will post pictures after they hatch, hoping for better fertility than I had in mid winter.

I wish someone in Indiana was working with these. It can't be me, because I don't have space for a breeding program. But I could be a purchaser of a few if they were local, and help out in that way.

I suppose I could hatch eggs and sell the chicks, and that might get more people familiar with them. But I would not be able to retain and grow out much.

Ok - sending you guys a PM - and should be able to ship this afternoon or tomorrow morning - depending on wrapping time and when the pick up is at my local Post Office

You too Caychris - get that incubator up to temp and get ready ! :)
