There is also a swap at the Afton poultry swap on the 14th and 15th of April for those close to north east Oklahoma. It's about 3 miles south of the old Buffalo ranch in afton on Hwy 59, or from Grove, Oklahome, go north on Hwy 59 about 10 miles. Opens at 7 AM till everyone leaves. Some sellers camp out there on Saterday nights.

Some friends of mine are looking for a Red Pyle OEGB hen to replace their little boy's hen that recently met with disaster. We will be going to the Mena show and could pick it up along the way. Here is their post on Facebook:

"I'm looking for a red pyle hen for my little boy Sykes. His little hen's cage was left open by an unnamed person. He is heart broken!!!! I'm willing to pay 25.00 for a really nice hen."

I'm reposting this for one of my 4-H parents. Please let me know if anyone has a hen for him. Someone could pick up in Little Rock area, or in Mena, Arkansas at the show on the 21st. He is 7 and really adored his little hen.

From what I understood at the 4-H meeting last night, his older sister left the coop door unlatched and it escaped. It is now missing. Lots of coon etc in the area.

Please email me or juliechick if you can help and we will pass it on.

Turns out that Sykes' big sister was not the guilty party after all. A predator, coon most likely, returned last night, took the rooster, and left the coop door open again. I guess his Mama never taught him to shut doors. Anyway, a new latch has been added to the door and Sykes is now the owner of two little BB Red OEGB hens that I had purchased recently. I hope he will love them like he did his little Red Pyle.

Whoooooo Hoooo, I am getting my coops Saturday!!!!!!!!! Yeah!!!! Be glad to see ya Jim, My chickens are ready for thier new homes. Can't wait to see how they turned out. I will post pics for everyone to see,

Livestock Guardian Dog SE Arkansas

Spayed female Great Pyrenees available in Southeast Arkansas. 3 years old. Born on a goat farm. Trained on poultry and goats. Gentle with children. Very territorial. Needs lots of space. Bonded with our large fowl chickens within 2 days. Took about a week to bond with our children and Catherine. Almost a month to bond with Jim. Her training is complete. Would be best to have an older male LGD to work with. She is an Alpha, but should submit to an older male LGD. We have worked with her since late July.

Currently Bell is living with our Exhibition Orpington chickens and Muscovy ducks. She is rotated with the goats.

Make an offer. Will consider trade for Nubian, Boer or Nubian/Boer mix goats. Narragansett hens. Incubators, turners etc. Almost anything. Make an offer.

Free delivery within 200 miles. Fuel/motel charge over 200 miles. Email with questions.
