Beginner's Workshop Poultry Meetup - The ABC's of Keeping Backyard Poultry!

Saturday, May 11, 2013
12:00 PM
Brown's Country Restaurant Benton, AR

It has been requested that we have a Beginner's Workshop Poultry Meetup. So we are planning a round table discussion with some of our own group's top breeders. You will here stories of how we got started to help you get started. There will be an extended question and answer session. If one person can not answer your question, another will.

So join us at this special Beginner's Workshop and Swap Meetup!

Swap afterwards in the overflow parking lot
(old gas station next door)

FYI: All poultry must be NPIP or be Pullorum/Typhoid tested with 90 day certificate. There may be a tester on premises, but not confirmed yet. Small animals, sheep, goats, rabbits etc are welcome. Just have ALPC required paperwork. All goats/sheep must have scrapies ear tags. Swap will be next door at the old truck stop, now Brown’s over flow parking lot. Sellers must bring their own cages. Buyers should bring transport cages or boxes.

A livestock transporter will be available for a small fee.

Any questions, PM Jim A. Hall.

We're doing it again.

Peyton Creek Homesteaders Swap Meet
There was such a large turnout at the first one on April 20 we're doing it again, Saturday May 18. Any farm or garden related products from goat soap, chickens, rabbits, plants, ect. Had a lot of homemade products at the last one, like homemade butter, rice pudding & baked goods. Lots of info was shared at the first one so if you have something to share.....bring it on. Dealer setup is only $5.00. This is great location on a busy stretch of Hwy 65 between Clinton & Leslie, AR along side Peyton Creek with this great waterfall as a back drop. There may be some locals playing music. It should be a good time, bring the family....this is a great spot. For more info call 501-205-2705 if no answer please leave a msg. we will call you back or contact us here. Jerry & Hilda....Rocky Hill Farm

I'm looking for blue copper marans, delawares, runner, turkey, peafowl eggs. I have mixed chicks (egg, chicks) and pure hatching eggs too. 5/13 I will have ducklings hatching (runners, pekins). I have creole/frizzle polish hatching eggs to go now. I am willing to trade for what I have for what I want. I will travel but would like to keep as close to Batesville as possible.

Also there will be an animal swap at tsc sat, 5/11 @ 8:00. I will be there, hope you all are too! I'm thrilled to see that there is a swap/meetup close enough for me to go. Plz pm if interested in what I have......................

Today my silkie rooster started crowing...I only have one hen. so I was wondering does anyone have any hens. I would love if I could find some splash, blue hens but I will consider any color. I would like to get ones that are pure ones that are laying or just about to lay. I would hate to see "Hershey" get mean or get rough with midnight...I hope someone can help me..thanks!
