Arkansas folks speak up.........

I would say no rooster as well unless you need one.. I'm very close to eating my rooster
I’ve had 2 Phoenix roosters for the last 4 1/2 years that have been the best behaved boys ever. I had a Cochin rooster living with them for about 3 years. With only 10 hens there was very little bickering. My girls don’t lay anymore so am slowly doing away with them. Am keeping #1 Phoenix to protect my next flock. Need a couple pallets to keep him company this winter. Any out there? Holding on to 2 hens till we find them. Phoenix are smaller in stature than many roosters so easier on the hens.

Well there only 10,661 replies as to where in AR you live and I have to let my chickens out sometime today. SD o let me just say "Hi! " yo everyone. I'm in NWA 15 miles from Fayetteville, Silome Springs, Farmington, and Townti Town.
Anyone near me with Sillies or Polish? My only sizzle/silkie roo got killed protecting his girls from a hawk 2 days ago . Now they're lost without him.

We are all crushed. He was protecting his girls just as he was supposed to. He gave his life for them. They were all safely tucked under a bush. I didn't realize how hard it is to find silkie owners around here. I have sold 3 groups of chicks for $3 each. Now can't find any!

I'm in NW Arkansas, near Fayetteville.
